# Card Crafting

All NFT cards in the game will have a corresponding "soulbound" version of the card which can be crafted. This means casual players can still build a constructed deck they are interested in playing over time simply by playing and crafting. This also ensures the competitive integrity of the game by not pay-walling off strong cards only to those who can afford them. 

Although NFTs can also be burned for crafting essence, they cannot be crafted and burning an NFT will permanently reduce its supply. NFTs will still retain value, as detailed on [this page](/whitepaper/honor-vs-madness/nfts-vs-soulbound-cards.md).
